Our Story

DermaGlo was founded in 2008 by Nurse Julie Goldsmith, a highly experienced Registered General Nurse with a passion for advanced skin health and aesthetics.

Julie began her nursing career in the UK, qualifying in 1994. She first worked as a theatre nurse in Trauma Orthopaedics before moving to London, where she gained further expertise in Angiography Labs and Day Case Surgeries. It was there that her interest in Medical Aesthetics began, training with Qmed (now Galderma) in the use of Restylane dermal fillers.

In 2006, after relocating to Ireland, Julie was introduced to Medical Grade Laser treatments. She pursued further training, gaining a strong foundation in laser safety and achieving a BTEC Level 4 qualification in Lasers, Light, and Associated Therapies for Nurses and Doctors. With over seven years of hands-on experience, Julie has since become a trusted practitioner in laser therapies.

Since opening DermaGlo, Julie has continued to expand her knowledge and expertise, ensuring that clients receive the most advanced, evidence-based treatments available. A standout success has been the introduction of Obagi Medical Skin Care, which has transformed the skin health of clients struggling with acne, pigmentation, and sun damage. After four years of intensive training, Julie is now recognised as an Obagi Ambassador, acknowledged for her professional expertise, client support, and passion for helping both men and women achieve healthier skin.

Julie is also extensively trained in a wide range of treatments, including:

• Dermarolling and automated microneedling (Dermapen)

• Dermal fillers, including lip augmentation
