The Candela Gmax Pro is the laser used for facial thread vein and leg vein removal. The laser uses a combination of laser light and cooling technology to shrink the veins without damage to surrounding tissues.

The GentleMax Pro laser targets visible thread veins – also known as telangiectasia or spider veins. It emits pulses of light that are absorbed by the blood in the vein, causing the vessel walls to heat up, collapse, and eventually fade.

Most clients describe the sensation as a quick, hot snap — similar to a rubber band flick. The system includes a dynamic cooling device (DCD) that sprays a cooling burst before each laser pulse to help protect the skin and reduce discomfort.

The practitioner will monitor skin response throughout the session and may adjust the laser settings as needed for comfort and effectiveness.

After the laser session, a cooling gel or compress may be applied to soothe the skin. Most people experience temporary redness, mild swelling, or a warming sensation in the treated area.

Aftercare Advice

You’ll receive instructions which typically include:

• Avoiding hot showers, baths, or saunas for 24–48 hours
• No sun exposure or tanning on treated areas for at least 2 weeks
• Wearing compression stockings if advised
• Avoiding strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours
• Follow-Up

You’ll be advised on when to return for your next session (usually in 6–8 weeks), and what kind of results to expect — veins may darken before fading gradually over 2–6 weeks.
